Why Attend
The UK’s premier travel event, BoBI 2012 proved once again to be the industry’s most essential showcase and as such offered its visitors unrivalled opportunities to meet with the very best that domestic tourism has to offer.
What’s more with preparations entering their final stage for a major £4 million government-funded advertising campaign to promote England for “staycations”, the imminent start of the Olympic Torch Relay, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations and the much anticipated London Olympic and Paralympic Games, there couldn’t have been a better time to hold a show like this.
We were delighted that John Penrose MP, Minister for Tourism, accepted an invitation to attend the BoBI 2012 opening ceremony and take part in the Minister’s Q&A event alongside senior representatives from England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. This was an exclusive opportunity to quiz both the Minister and his fellow panellists on any tourism related topic prior to the show opening.
In addition to having the opportunity to hold face-to-face meetings with the crème de la crème of attraction, destination and accommodation providers at the show, we crafted an excellent two day educational Seminar Programme covering such topics as 2012 Opportunities, How to effectively target the gay market, How to get involved in English Tourism Week and Legal aspects of the tourism industry.
