A very warm welcome from Britain’s Best Tourist Guides

For the fourth year running we were pleased to present the Blue Badge Tourist Guides who were on hand at the BoBI Welcome Desk to greet our visitors and help deal with general queries.

The Welcome Desk team came from all over the UK, including north of the border. Indeed those visitors planning trips to Bonnie Scotland found guides, via the Scottish Tourist Guides Association (STGA), who also proudly wore the Blue Badge, and even had their own specially commissioned tartan. In addition, the Guild of Registered Tourist Guides, representing over 750 Blue Badge Guides* nationwide, were helping out with the VisitEngland meetings area and the Hosted Buyers Lounge.

Visitors were also encouraged to visit the Guild on stand D46 and see their “Find a Guide” online search facility in action and discover just how simple it is to use when you need to source a qualified tourist guide. They also found information specifically about the tours and services offered by their members offer, including Olympic venue walks and the Jubilee. www.britainsbestguides.org.
