Stratford-upon-Avon to be showcased at major trade show

Stratford-upon-Avon and the surrounding area will be showcased as a premier tourist destination for groups at the “Best of Britain and Ireland” event from 14 – 15 March at the NEC, Birmingham. Stratford District Council will be exhibiting under the brand “Discover Stratford” alongside stand partners Ardencote Manor Hotel, The Falstaff Experience and Stratford Armouries.

BOBI is the UK’s official travel trade event of the year. The events ‘International Hosted Buyers programme’ will see around 100 key travel agents and tour operators from USA, Canada, France, Germany and Ireland meet and do business with the 300 plus exhibitors.

“Discover Stratford” will be offering information and advice to groups from stand B36 plus visitors will have the chance of winning a fantastic relaxing leisure break for two at the Ardencote Manor Hotel.

Stratford Armouries is a truly unique museum set in 86 acres of rolling Warwickshire countryside. The museum houses a range of world class exhibits of arms, armour, weaponry and military memorabilia from the 15th century up to the modern day. The Armouries is constantly acquiring new exhibits and is proud to now incorporate the Wellington Aviation Collection, including a tail-piece of a Wellington Bomber, and the National Collection of Model Soldiers. This collection numbers over 10,000 and displays the best of artistic and creative ability when it comes to model-making.
